In this process, the Batik pattern is transferred from the copper block stamp using wax. After that the fabric is dipped in Indigo dye to form the color. After allowing the fabric to dry, it is then boiled in hot water to dissolve and remove all the previous applied wax. Certain processes can be repeated several more times before completion of the final batik product, this requires great patience and skill from an experienced batik craftsman.
